My name is Shareen Wood, I’m from Toronto which is my birth place. I have lived in the Nicola Valley for 18 years now. I have been volunteering for a while for the arts council. I became involved when Mischelle Pierce asked for some extra help.
I love to help out whenever possible and the arts is my favourite part of life. I am currently finding time to do felting after going to a class at the arts council. What I’d say to anyone thinking about volunteering for the arts council is this the reward of volunteer work will bring a smile on your face, great people you’ll meet, and it’s more rewarding than staying in the shadows.
